Evidence of Rain

Wednesday puddles

in slow motion

explosions of

fuchsia & lilac

ruffled rhododendrons

swirl a little girl

circles the aftermath

singing I am not

welcome but

I am not trapped.

grateful for blossom

and new wave on the grass.

evidence of rain.

  1. A very lovely poem that sings like the sound of rain already fallen, and rings like a breeze through slow-swinging wind chimes.

    1. Thank you Cynthia! I love how you marry poetry, your own & others, with images of the Arizona landscape that you spend time in with your lovely dogs.
